Jack M. Swig, JD – Director Emeritus and In-House Counsel to North Shore InnoVentures. Mr. Swig is Co-Chair of the NSTC Biosciences Group.   He is a seasoned in-house attorney and corporate finance, development and strategic partnering executive.  He most recently served as special counsel for a leading edge transfusion medicine company. Previously Mr. Swig served as Vice President of Corporate Development and General Counsel for Microfluidics International Corporation (MFIC). The Company manufactures proprietary Microfluidizer® materials processing equipment for nano-scale particle size reduction in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetics/personal care, and food industries. Mr. Swig’s 28 year background spans merchant banking, corporate finance and venture capital in diverse roles including lending, bridge financing, and as a venture capital fund manager in the medical diagnostics sector.  He has served as general counsel for several private and public entities. He has had considerable experience in the area of business and strategic development including corporate alliances. Mr. Swig has acumen in asset recovery, workouts, turnarounds, and crisis management. He has had extensive experience in investor relations and as intermediary with the brokerage and investment banking community, and as liaison with fund managers.  He has assisted both in raising capital for private and public companies and in divesting subsidiaries and divisions of a public company.  Mr. Swig is a past Director of NSTC and served on its founding Steering Committee. Mr. Swig is a graduate of Boston University and received his Doctorate of Law degree from New England School of Law.
