Mary Grant

Mary Grant, RN, MS – Clinical Director, Office of Long Term Services and Supports for the Commonwealth of MA.  Mary Grant is a registered nurse in MA and has been a clinical nurse specialist in psychiatry for 30 years. Currently she is the Clinical Director of the Office of Long Term Services and Supports for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Previously, Mary has been in private practice in Beverly, MA since 1990.  She worked for 14 years in the DMH in Community Mental Health Centers in Boston and Gloucester and co-directed a sexual abuse treatment service for 6 years under a criminal justice department grant.   Ms. Grant received her MS in Community Health Nursing from Boston College and her BSN with honors from Boston College.  For the past eight years, Ms. Grant served as a Massachusetts State Representative and served as the Vice-Chair of Joint Committee on Health Care Financing for the past two years. She has spent four years on the Ways and Means Committee. Most recently she has served on the Health and Human Services, Long-Term Care Financing Committee and is a member of the Dept. of Higher Education, Nursing Initiative Task Force. She has also served on the Joint Committees on: Public Health, Human Services and Elder Affairs, Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities, Revenue, and Housing.  Ms. Grant served on the Board of Directors for the Caucus of Women Legislator and on the CQI team for the MA Dept. of Children and Families. Currently, Mary is the Co-President of Beverly Main Streets, and on the board of the Greater Beverly YMCA.  She had served this past year on the board of North Shore Elder Services. Mary has received numerous awards including: Beverly Rotary Citizen of the Year Award 2010; MA Recreation and Parks Assoc. 2009 Legislator of the Year Award; YMCA of Massachusetts 2008-09 Legislator of the Year Award; MA Nurses Association 2008 Legislative Recognition Award; Greater Beverly YMCA 2007 Dedication to Youth Award; Executive Office of Health and Human Services Dept. of Mental Health Certificate of Appreciation in 2006.
