New NSIV member Apptomics is already winning business plan competitions. Salem State University’s Enterprise Center has announced the company won first place at its ninth annual North of Boston Business Plan competition, which helps start-up companies develop their businesses.
“This competition gave me the opportunity to really focus on refining my plan,” said Dr. Georgia Mitsi, founder and CEO of Apptomics. “The advice and coaching have been excellent. This has been a very positive and dynamic experience.”
The $5,000 prize will help Apptomics fulfill the prize’s commitment to locating on the North Shore and growing to at least five full-time employees within two years. They will be further aided in this by North Shore InnoVentures as they join our growing group of biotech and cleantech success stories.
