We are so proud to report that NSIV’s VP and COO, Tom Kinneman placed 5th in the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Rotterdam held on September 17 with a time of 02:28:12 while competing against 53 other men racing in his age group. Naturally, we had to celebrate with cake and other festivities! Congrats to Tom on this outstanding achievement!
According to Wikipedia, “While many variations of the sport exist, triathlon, in its most popular form, involves swimming, cycling, and running in immediate succession over various distances. Triathletes compete for fastest overall course completion time, including timed “transitions” between the individual swim, cycle, and run components.” Tom’s race was an Olympic length, swim 0.93 mi (1.5 km), bike 24.8 mi (40 km), and run 6.2 mi (10 km).
