North Shore InnoVentures (NSIV) graduate company, Cytoo S.A. will be presenting findings related to its 2D+ Cell Culture Platform at the upcoming MiPTec 2012 in Basel, Switzerland. The platform was launched in July 2012 and opens new perspectives for more physiologically relevant cell-based assays compared to classical 2D culture where cells spread and move in an uncontrolled manner. This is possible because2D+ Technology enables the fine control of the spreading and 3D shape of cultured cells in single- or multi-cellular configurations resulting in control of cell contractility, cell polarity, organelle positioning, or cell division axis. Read more about this on the American Laboratory website.
Cytoo’s U.S. arm recently graduated from NSIV’s Biotech InnoVation Center (BIVC).
