North Shore InnoVentures (NSIV) graduate company, Cytoo S.A. will be presenting findings related to its 2D+ Cell Culture Platform at the upcoming MiPTec 2012 in Basel, Switzerland. The platform was launched in July 2012 and opens new perspectives for more physiologically relevant cell-based assays compared to classical 2D culture where cells spread and move in an uncontrolled manner. This is possible because2D+ Technology enables the fine control of the spreading and 3D shape of cultured cells in single- or multi-cellular configurations resulting in control of cell contractility, cell polarity, organelle positioning, or cell division axis. Cytoo’s U.S. arm recently graduated from NSIV’s Biotech InnoVation Center (BIVC).
